On March 4, 2015 members of the Barnegat Police Department Investigative Division served a search warrant at the Rainbow Spa, 575 Route 9 in Barnegat. Arrested during the warrant service were Jian Zhou, 44, of Galloway, NJ and Xiuhong Fu, 49, of Brooklyn, NY. The warrant service was the result of a month long investigation into illegal prostitution at the location. Officers seized $2,000 dollars in cash during the subsequent search.
Zhou was charged with promoting prostitution and engaging in prostitution. Fu was charged with engaging in prostitution. They were both processed and released pending a court date.
The Barnegat Police Department was assisted by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Special Operations Group, the Toms River Police Department Special Enforcement Team, and United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
