On October 18th at 8:43pm, Patrolman Alex Hoffman arrested Michael Cammarota, 21, of Barnegat on drug and weapons charges after responding to a fight behind the bleachers at the Barnegat High School football game.
Ptl. Hoffman along with other officers were providing security during the football game when they responded to a disturbance behind the bleachers. While bringing the situation under control the officers made contact with Cammarota who was found to be in possession of heroin, marijuana, and a switch blade knife.
Cammarota was charged with possession of heroin, possession of a prohibited weapon, and possession of marijuana under 50 grams. He was processed and released pending a court date.
