On January 22nd, Detective William Hetrick arrested Grace Ross, 36, of Bridgewater, NJ in connection with several burglaries that occurred in the Heritage Point North age-restricted community dating back to August 2013.
Officers had responded to reports of burglaries on August 15, 2013, August 21, 2013, and December 3, 2013, all in the Heritage Point North community. Two of the homes were burglarized after the front doors were forced open and one was burglarized via a partially opened garage door. All three were daytime burglaries. The stolen property consisted primarily of jewelry and watches.
Ross was developed as a suspect based on eyewitness reports as well as surveillance footage from residential security systems.
Ross was charged with three counts of burglary (3rd degree), three counts of theft (two- 3rd degree, one- 4th degree), and two counts of criminal mischief (4th degree). She was lodged in the Ocean County Jail in default of $45,000 bail.
None of the stolen property was recovered.
